A Creative, Fun & Loving Environment!

Education for children six weeks to five years old, after-school childcare, and summer camp for children up to 10 years old. Plus —we have free hot nutritional meals prepared daily!

Homework:  We believe it is important for your child to develop and practice good work habits to prepare for his/her transition into Kindergarten.  Your child will have an average of 10-15 minutes of homework to take home every Friday and returned the following Tuesday.

Daily Work:  Your child’s completed work will be sent home daily.  His/her work will be placed in your child’s cubby/mailbox.  We encourage you to look through the assignments and discuss and assist your child with any areas that might need further practice or enrichment.

Lunch/Snack:  Lunch/Snack and a drink are provided daily.  Our menu is posted on the Parent Information Board.

 

 

 

Birthdays:  Your child’s birthday may be celebrated in the classroom with a snack for the whole class. Please remember that the snack must be STORE BOUGHT and that we are a PEANUT FREE ENVIRONMENT. Please ask your child’s teachers to help schedule the best time to celebrate and to get suggestions for appropriate items to bring.

Make-Up Work: If your child is absent, he/she will receive the make-up work.  If you are able, please let your classroom teachers know in advance of possible absences.

 

Parent-Teacher Conference: If you need to meet to discuss any questions and/or concerns you may have regarding your child, please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a conference.  Tiny Turtles Preschool of Jupiter also has three scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences during the school year.

What to Expect from Tiny Turtles’ Preschool:

VPK Preschool Curriculum:

To prepare your child for Kindergarten, Tiny Turtles Preschool of Jupiter uses Creative Curriculum and the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten Standards.  The combination of these preschool programs allowed us to create an effective learning environment for the whole child.   In addition, we will also be assessing your child through ongoing observations and VPK Assessments. Weekly lesson plans will include specific activities in the following developmental domains:

  • Physical Development
  • Approaches of Learning
  • Language, Communication, & Emergent Literacy
  • Social and Emotional Development
  • Cognitive Development and General Knowledge

Tiny Turtles Preschool of Jupiter’s goal is to provide an enriching early childhood educational experience with a well-balanced, unique curriculum dedicated to the development of infants and young children. Our Creative Curriculum is based upon the natural ways in which children learn along with a print-rich environment for future school readiness. Our state-of-the-art program offers thematic units involving computer labs, reading, writing, arts & crafts, math, science, music, physical education, library, dramatic play and age appropriate separate playgrounds.
